Whenever the Primate Elijah Ayodele’s name is mentioned, what comes to mind are his talk of the town prophecies. Big men in Nigeria pray he does not mention them in his annual prophetic message to the nation. Even our dear President I know has his own gbege with the primate.
He had prophesied and warned that if Nigerians made a mistake and voted APC into power again, we will suffer more than ever before.
And indeed we have been suffering. Thinking about how Nigerian families are suffering upsets me greatly. For the same of my peace, I won’t dwell on the prophesies of the Primate and it’s effects. Instead, pardon me to write about another side of the man of God that is dedicated to putting smiles on the faces of people.
am reliably informed that he spends about twenty five million naira every year on the poor, needed and the sick.
Over the years he has spent over N20 million conservatively to support journalists in various media houses, some have also received car gifts the popular man of God stated that his aim is to empower as many journalists as possible.
Hear him,
” my projection projection is to give cars to about 100 journalists who have supported me since I started my ministry.”
Going down memory lane, he gave various instances of how some notable journalists have helped his ministry to reach many parts of the world which ordinarily may not have happened if God didn’t place them in his ministry.
What a way to pay back.
Primate Ayodele has carved out a niche for himself in philanthropy, he definitely ranks among the top echelon of pastors who take helping the poor and donating to to charitable causes as part of their calling. What sets him apart is that his philanthropic efforts are not biased towards any religious group. He extends his support to both Muslims and Christians without discrimination.
He says,
” we are all children of one God. I can not discriminate on the basis of religion or tribe.”
Each year, he sponsors Muslim pilgrims and Christian pilgrims to Jerusalem, ensuring that both communities have the opportunity to undertake their religious journeys. During the holy month of Ramadan, he provides essential welfare packages to Muslim Widows in the IWF to assist them during fasting and prayers.
Primate Ayodele’s church also runs a youth ministry that has had a profound impact on thousands of young individuals by providing them with education through the “Back to School Initiative.”
The Primate personally sponsors this initiative annually, which aims to supply children with books, writing materials, uniforms, sandals, and other necessary items at no cost. Additionally, the initiative covers school fees from Nursery to University levels. Primate Ayodele also supports the development of businesses by offering micro-credit support to widows, indigent youths, and even male members of his church.
In terms of healthcare, the Primate ensures that medical tests and free medications are available to The INRI church settles medical bills for individuals, whether they are church members or not. Furthermore, Primate Ayodele’s INRI has provided housing for numerous individuals, offering modern self-contained and two-room apartments at Oke Afa for a modest annual rate of N12,000.
Primate Ayodele prefers to carry out his philanthropy with little fanfare. He regularly visits the police and other security agencies to donate security equipment. Hospitals receive his visits, during which he provides drugs and financial assistance. Schools benefit from scholarships, free books, teaching aids, and support for the destitute.
At one point, approximately 50 church members were allocated plots of land valued at N3 million per plot. Additionally, Primate Ayodele consistently donates in support of sportsmen and women, as well as individuals with disabilities.
The primate surely is also thinking about his tomorrow and eternity. He is sowing seeds where moth cannot eat them up. He deserves an applause. We need more men of God live him to help lift the physical and spiritual burdens of the suffering humanity.
