Telecommunications company, Globacom, has admonished the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria to seize the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir to pray for the unity, progress and wellbeing of the country
.
Globacom made the call in a goodwill message from its corporate headquarters in Lagos on the occasion of the 2024 Eid-El-Kabir Muslim festival.
The company felicitated the Muslim community in Nigeria, saying they should use the occasion to advance the tenets of their faith through acts of charity, peaceful co-existence with their neighbours and obedience to the injunctions of the Holy Quran.
According to the company, “It is a season of charity, peacemaking and forgiveness. We must remember to cater for the poor and the needy in line with Allah’s injunction to be our brother’s keeper”.
While extending warm wishes to Muslims who successfully performed this year’s Hajj in fulfillment of one of the pillars of the Islamic faith, Globacom enjoined them to practise the virtues of commitment, dedication and obedience which Prophet Ibraheem showed by his willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to the will of Allah, which the festival of Eid-El-Kabir commemorates.
The company promised its subscribers a seamless communications experience during the holiday and beyond by providing high quality voice and data services throughout the period.
