The Kano State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel, embarked on a public awareness campaign on January 7, 2024, to highlight the advantages of the Nigeria Police Force’s digitalized central motor registry operations.
In response to the evolving technological landscape and the increasing demands of the modern world, the NPF has embraced digitalization to enhance operational efficiency and provide improved services to the public, particularly in combating vehicle-related crimes.
The Command’s Public Relations Office and the Central Motor Registry, led by SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, were directed by CP Gumel to sensitize and educate the public about the benefits of the digitalized Central Motor Registry Operations.
During interactions with car dealers in various locations within Kano Metropolis, the effort received commendation. The car dealers appreciated the initiative of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, acknowledging its significance in the effective management of vehicle-related matters and crimes. They also expressed gratitude to the Kano Police Command for consistently sensitizing the people of the state on matters of public importance.
Commissioner of Police CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel encouraged the residents to embrace positive changes and urged them to take advantage of the digital platforms to register their vehicles in the Police central registry and obtain the CMR Motor Vehicle Information Certificate.
