Work in Progress on Transformer
The Imeko City Development Project powered by the Pastor-in-Council Working Commitee on Works and Projects, has taken a giant leap towards reality as workers have moved to site as promised.
Major electrification works have commenced!
In addition to the erection and stringing of lines of 20 No HT carried out in December 2023. Work is ongoing to complete the substation fittings with a view to commissioning the Transformer on Friday, 29th September, 2023.
Simultaneously, the removal of all the old polls is in progress, as well as the diversion of the old LT lines along the major road. The electrification of the Celestial Basilica, Imeko, and its environs is on course!
The overall effect of the foregoing is that for the first time ever, activities of this year’s Imeko Annual Convocation coming up in December, 2023, at the Celestial Basilica,Imeko, would be powered from the National Grid and not with generators.
In addition, continuation of construction works on the drainages is to commence immediately as construction materials such as bags of cement, tons of iron rods, loads of sharp sand and granite are already on site for this purpose.
